1/8" strips were sliced and removed from circulating American currency which were then reintroduced into circulation. Each piece in this series of six (1, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100) is woven from 76 such strips (23 horizontal, 53 vertical) creating a blank bill comprised entirely of borders. A total of 456 individual bills were cut amounting to $14,136.
